Waja Co. Announces Resignation and Appointment of a Board Member

Waja Company Announces the Acceptance of the Resignation of an Independent Board Member and the Appointment of His Replacement. Waja Company announces that its Board of Directors, at its meeting held on Thursday, 17/01/1448 AH (corresponding to July 2, 2026), accepted the resignation of Mr. Sultan Ahmed Al Mousa, an Independent member of the Board of Directors.

The Board also appointed Eng. Majed Abdullah Al-Essa as an Independent Board member to replace him, effective from the date of the Board’s resolution until the end of the current Board term.

The Board of Directors expressed its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the resigning member for his outstanding performance and valuable contributions during his tenure on the Board, and wished him continued success and prosperity.

Eng. Majed Abdullah Al-Essa is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in senior management, investment, business development, financial analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and business restructuring, with more than 24 years of professional experience.

He has held several leadership positions as Chief Executive Officer, Board Member, and Committee Member at a number of publicly listed companies, including Sadr Logistics Company, Saudi Ceramic Company, Batic Investments and Logistics Company, and Gas Arabian Services Company (GASCO). He has also gained valuable experience at SABIC, National Gypsum Company, and the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF).

Eng. Al-Essa holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Management from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from King Saud University. He also holds the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation and the Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) credential.
